How to open Tabs and do Pre-Authorizations2024-06-11T16:21:53+00:00

Firstly make sure the Bar tab is enabled by going into Settings/ Features/ Payments, Activate Bar Tab.

Go into any mode to make the order, press payment and select BARTAB.

It will ask to swipe the Card on the Pax terminal.

Once the Card swiped, that amount is Pre-Authorized!

When you go back into the order you can always add more items if needed.

When pressing continue, you will have 3 options…

1. Continue, will save the new items on the order. (No need to swipe the card again)

2. Pay Tab will make the full payment on the customer’s card without needing to swipe the Card.

3. Cancel Tab will cancel the pre authorization and the customer can pay another method.

How does Tip Adjust work?2024-06-11T16:21:06+00:00

1. The waiter will make the order and have the client pay the total without tip.

The footer of the Receipt can have the Tip suggestion in % (Will also show $ Amount) and the Signature Line.

To enable the Tip suggestion…

In Settings/ Features/ Tip Service, you can enable the tip suggestion on all bills or only the payment bill.

Then set the Custom Tip Suggestion in %

And have the Signature Line on the payment Bill.

2. The customer will select the amount of Tip to leave the waiter by writing it on the Receipt.

3.At the end of the day, the waiter will log into the POS, go in Search and Press Tip Adjust. Select the Receipt and press Edit Payment, then Press Tip Adjust.

4. Enter the Tip amount the customer wrote on the receipt, Press Enter and you’ll get a message saying… “Tip Amount Adjusted Successfully” (The Card does not need to be swiped again)
